Continuing with our recent theme of sustainable materials, our latest stock of shoes delivers cute summer vibes while supporting a healthy environment! Our restock of the hemp and recycled clogs has been highly anticipated; in addition, we have also restocked on some styles of Jelly shoes, both made from sustainable materials!

Detailed, more thoroughly, in our last post, usage of hemp in clothes is great for the environment, and our Opana Hemp Clogs are partially composed of hemp! Some brief benefits of hemp are that it efficiently cleans the air of carbon dioxide, grows fast, and requires little fertilizer and pesticide, along with so many other upsides. These clogs are not only adorable, with a slip-on heel, but are great for rain, the material being resistant to water and muck. Our Jelly Sandals are also made of hemp, the ochre color perfectly complimenting any late summer outfit. Both look adorable with or without socks!

Our other styles of clogs and jelly sandals are made of recycled plastic, meaning you can sport these retro looks free from the guilt of contributing to plastic waste. Plastic waste can take centuries to fully break down and that doesn't account for the damage that micro-plastics wreak on the flora and fauna they contaminate. Recycling is a small part of a huge effort to reduce plastic waste and scientists are even experimenting with enzymes in bacteria that eat plastic to cut down on the decomposition time. Even though it may seem trivial, every effort to recycle plastic contributes to the larger effect of helping the planet, so don't let anyone tell you recycling isn't worth it!

The jelly shoe/sandal initially rose to popularity in the 1980s due to french fashion shows featuring them, and quickly spread across the world. The Sun Sandals are not only for the beach though, these versatile and unique shoes are perfect for an afternoon out on the town or a trip to the farmer's market.
